Sikh students beginning university are being brought together in Coventry for the tenth annual Sikh Freshers’ Fair on Wednesday 14 October.
The event is scheduled for 5pm at GNP Gurdwara Coventry, 71 Harnall Lane, CV1 4FB, according to the announcement issued by the Sikh Press Association.
Organisers expect more than 200 students to attend. The fair aims to help students connect with Sikh community groups and find support as they begin university life.
The announcement says community figures, athletes, artists and activists will be involved, with competitions and giveaways alongside opportunities to meet local groups.
Students seeking attendance details or further information can contact Kaldeep Singh on 07983 693537.
The expected attendance is the organiser’s forecast, not a confirmed turnout. Post-event photographs and video have been offered by the Sikh Press Association.
